Singapore can wait. As a matter of fact, it can wait for five days. Till my birthday is over. The government can continue to infuse patriotism and loyalty into the majority of Singaporeans, but my birthday will take precendence. So if you find me waving a red and white flag and whistling national day songs, please put an end to my frivilousness. there's something about fifteen years being greater than forty, although i can't figure out why. Must have some remote connection to my birthday, whenever it is. I seem to have forgotten.
The above post is in jest and is not intended to be taken seriously. It is just aimed at providing a *cough* reminder to *cough* certain individuals. Take the hint. Be a man. Do the right thing.

Its frustrating. The more I try to draw nearer to God, the further away i seem to be from him. The lines from Eminem's "mockingbird" seem befitting of this situation:
But somehow it seems, the harder that I try to do that
the more it backfires on me. I can't seem to feel the "personal" side of God, he just seems to be a distant goal. I have been trying to live my life for Christ, but I constantly fall prey to temptation. It seems that trying only makes you acutely aware of your situation, and how far you are from your goal. I really want to grow closer to God, I just can't see how. It becomes all the more apparent that the unbeliever-turn-christian finds it easier to grow spiritually than the christian from birth. They have an old life to contrast to, so as to speak, while we have nothing. I can't feel that rejuvination of being a christian, that spark of hope, all I am aware of is my inadequacy. Lord, show me a way.
